Addressing the core needs of families who want both fuel efficiency and power, the new model continues the dual-mode layout of gasoline and hybrid powertrains, with each version precisely targeting key pain points in travel. The 2.5L intelligent electric hybrid version is equipped with fifth-generation THS technology, boosting the system’s combined power to 181 kW, achieving a WLTC combined fuel consumption of only 5.82L/100km. The four-wheel drive version boasts a combined range approaching 1000 kilometers—estimated at 20,000 kilometers per year, saving nearly 3000 yuan in fuel costs annually compared to comparable gasoline SUVs. For users who prefer gasoline power, the 2.0T version, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivers a combination of 182 kW power and 380 Nm of torque, coupled with E-FOUR electronic four-wheel drive, ensuring a stable ride for city commutes and confident performance for outdoor excursions.
The Highlander’s spaciousness has been upgraded again! With a body size of 4965×1930×1750mm and a 2850mm wheelbase, it offers flexible 5-seat and 7-seat options. The significantly optimized third row has completely shed its “emergency-only” label, providing ample headroom and legroom for passengers up to 175cm tall. The vehicle features 20 cleverly concealed storage compartments throughout, perfect for storing phones, water bottles, and children’s snacks. In 7-seat configuration, the 340-liter trunk can easily accommodate a stroller and camping gear, expanding to 880 liters with all seats folded down, making moving and transporting large items a breeze. Higher trim levels feature Nappa leather seats with front ventilation/heating and power adjustment for the front passenger and rear seats, ensuring a comfortable ride even on long journeys.

For family cars, safety is always the top priority. The new model comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 intelligent safety system, featuring PCS pre-collision system, DRCC full-speed cruise control, and LTA lane tracing, all always online. The newly added 540° transparent chassis is a boon for novice drivers, allowing them to clearly see the road conditions under the vehicle when parking or driving over potholes, completely eliminating blind spot risks. Passive safety is also top-notch: a 65% high-strength steel body and 7 airbags form a protective shield, and ISOFIX child seat anchors are standard. The excellent performance in the China Insurance Research Institute (C-IASI) crash tests gives parents peace of mind.
